Brick threw glass is a Movie review website hosted by film critic Matt Willey. Brick threw glass is a metaphor I made up for film, the BRICK is the anamorphic shot blocking, and GLASS is the camera lens , the word THREW is a play on words, should have been thru but, I used the words THREW. This website reviews and critics films in a different way, using humor it also tries to interject some of my technical knowledge of how films are created and made into the process.

This is how this movie review website works; we have a 4 star movie review rating system for films and DVDs and BLU-ray disks with 4 out of 4 stars the best and one stars being really bad. We have added the 3.5 and 2.5 into our movie review ratings to make this website a little deeper and Adding to the the readers enjoyment ... More about our 4 STAR MOVIE REVIEW SYSTEM

Memento :: movie review 2000 This is the story of Leonard Shelby (Guy Pearce) who can’t make any new memories every time he wakes up or drifts off he was to start all over. Lenny is on a quest to find his wife’s killer by tattooing facts on his body and taking Polaroid pictures with notes. He has a system and this is where the plot of this movie thrives, in flashbacks and the underlying of story of Sammy Jankis who he meet years earlier and had a similar condition, so Lenny’s has “remember Sammy Jankis” tattooed on his hand this is the audiences first cue that this is going to get interesting. This is a lesson in how a great script, well acted scenes and well thought out staging and shot blocking can make a great film that didn’t cast 100 million dollars. I was given this film by an old friend Tom Ardavany who is an acting coach to the rich and famous and I edited a film trailer for, and from the viewpoint of an editor this movie is magic. I was and still am amazed the depth of the performances and the story driven drama. This movie is not pretentious and I don’t think anyone who was involved in this project new it would all gel into such a great movie. It may be a bit heavy for younger viewers but it’s a film that every film school student should watch and learn how to make a clever thriller without the explosions and special effects and rely on the script and acting to make a watchable and engaging film. ![]() ![]()
