Brick threw glass is a Movie review website hosted by film critic Matt Willey. Brick threw glass is a metaphor I made up for film, the BRICK is the anamorphic shot blocking, and GLASS is the camera lens , the word THREW is a play on words, should have been thru but, I used the words THREW. This website reviews and critics films in a different way, using humor it also tries to interject some of my technical knowledge of how films are created and made into the process.

This is how this movie review website works; we have a 4 star movie review rating system for films and DVDs and BLU-ray disks with 4 out of 4 stars the best and one stars being really bad. We have added the 3.5 and 2.5 into our movie review ratings to make this website a little deeper and Adding to the the readers enjoyment ... More about our 4 STAR MOVIE REVIEW SYSTEM

Battle of the mall cops… Paul Blart: Mall Cop vs. Observe and Report : Movie reviews So here my entry in the halls American literary excellence, my movie reviews of the Box office smack down brawl of two mall cop movies that are released back to back in the same year. Hey maybe I should write a screenplay about a chubby mall cop would wants to be a real cop and saves the hottest girl in the mall from the bad guys, on second thought it’s been done…twice. So the big question, which is funnier, which one of these movies was a better story, or should you see both films? These films both have a different angle, Paul Blart: Mall Cop was the written and targeted to a younger audience and the nonstop swearing of Seth Rogan in Observe and Report is allot heavier comedy and he spits out the f-word more than a drunken sailor on shore leave. Did the studios not know the one had a similar movie coming out? Well I have to be fair here is not like there isn’t a flood of espionage movies out about spies and International conspiracies shot in Europe. I really just wanted to make a funny head to head Photoshop picture of the two lead actors for the website. That’s why I’m writing this, no really if you glued these two movies together you would have a great movie, both have their moments and …not. After two hits with Zack and Miri Make a Promo and of course Knocked Up , Seth Rogan was on a roll , and Kevin James with his TV show King of queens was too on a high point in his career . So this is the question do two wrongs make a right? Well were two scenes in Observe and Report that were as creepy as the film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan with Sasha Cohen wrestling the fat hairy man , and Paul Burt Mall cop had a few scenes that were as slow as last year’s film The Reader and just not funny… Read More
There is a scene were Seth Rogen as Ronnie Barnhardt is being interviewed by a television reporter about the problems they are having at his mall and he is pissed off because she gets his title wrong so he says “and I’m standing here with a doctor" now that was funny, but I was the only one in the theater that caught it and was laughing out loud. Paul Blart: Mall Cop character on his Segway (an electric scooter), was just silly and made me laugh at the beginning of this film, but his character gets old fast and the use of sugar in the a plot line is (to most of the unaware souls who have or are going to have diabetes) kind of wrong. Almost as wrong as the flasher saying “touch daddy’s Dic%$” this crossed some kind of invisible line with me, and I don’t think even someone like comedian Chris Rock would have gone there. So judging by the audience around me Paul Blart got the most laughs, but I think I the privacy of their home lots of people would laugh at Observe and Report's Ronnie Barnhardt and he does have his moments. ![]() High points also include Anna Faris as Brandi she is really funny and Observe and Report's Ronnie Barnhardt drinking and doing a crazy dance at the local bar and ending up failing out the window. I was wondering why the best comedies are coming from England these days and these two films were the answer, America has become like, almost ...funny and I am hoping that a good new comedy will come out this year to prove me wrong. ![]()
